The Monarca company, located in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, produces a home water purification device which is a meter long section of 2-inch PVC pipe containing app. 10-12 2-inch ceramic balls which are permeated with CS. It is immersed in your home water cistern or water tank, and the agitation of incoming water releases the CS from the ceramic balls to purify the water.
We have been using them in house for about three years (each tube has a 2-year life span in a 5000 liter tank) with excellent results. Our water now comes from a river source of dubious purity, which is run through a sand filtration process before delivery. We've never had the water tested for purity, but have used the Monarca CS product, and have not suffered any skin, internal afflictions from the water. (This includes brushing teeth with it, but not direct consumption). The Monarca devices are rather pricey for Mexico -- about $40 US per tube -- but they have a good life span and do the job. Hope this helps....Bill ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard Harris" <yr...@cfl.rr.com> To: <silver-list@eskimo.com> Sent: Saturday, September 06, 2003 2:34 PM Subject: RE: CS>Pool filters > Bill, please elucidate further on Monarcha CS Ceramic Flotation device. > There is a company in Clearwater, FL that makes CS & CU filters for pools & > spas.
