Well now Stuff, I don't know about them kinda rods,
but if they're some kinda germ thingy a hell of a lot less
than 500ppm will do the job too.

There have been literally hundreds of tests, both invivo
& invitro but I will let Ode or another, more knowledgeable
than myself be more specific - remember you asked for it.
