Nancy, Sorry about your heel spurs and plantar fasciitis problems. As for the heel spurs, I recommend purchasing Dr. Scholl's Moleskin Foam pads (3"x4"), cut in half & prepare to adhere it in shoe to cover the area, then cut a round hole in the center that will fit over the spur; fasten pad in shoe with the spur protruding thru the hole & touching Nothing. Should you need thicker protection, repeat the process with the 2nd pad half and stick to the first. This gives comfort till you find something that will help your body dissolve the spur. There are mineral and herbal supplements with good, safe track records to do just that--I can do a little research if you don't come up with the solution to your problem. As for the fasciitis, I have read many testimonials where CS both internal & external handled the problem--make sure to take enough & soak enough to give CS a chance. Good health to you and all. And I have had several people tell me they had orthotics made that did not help them at all, and the birkenstock inserts did work. These people are all from my town, though different doctors, orthotics made different places, but maybe not properly made..... However, as long as I wear my inserts in everything, I'm fine. If I go around without them very much the fasciitis starts to return. paula ----- Original Message ----- From: nancy.estes Same experience here. After an entire summer wearing Birkenstocks, had to go back to sandals with orthodics as my plantar fasciatis flared up.
