That is funny. I got a vicks ultrasonic humidifier and have put some CS in it. It does have a charcoal filter but I removed it because I thought it might remove the silver. I had no idea though...thanks for the insight...it makes sense and now I know.....

Check if the unit has a filter in it. If so remove it, it is likely a
charcoal
