Look on the bottom of the container. A recycling triangle with a "2" in it is the industry code for HDPE. It is rated safe for the storage of blood and serum. The plastic itself will break down with long exposure to direct sunlight, and crumble at the slightest touch. But I store Ag sol in it for long periods of time.

It may hold true for low density plastics (which I doubt) but it is definitely not true for high density plastics. We have CS made to as high as 45 PPM and stored in 2 liter soft drink containers for about 3 years now. It is still crystal clear with no agglomeration, plating out or noticeable fallout. It may be true that poorly made CS which is agglomerated will start to plate out onto the vessel but that will happen whether the vessel is plastic or glass. And if any does plate out it is a miniscule amount. The rest will still be in dispersion. Continue to use the DW containers. Look on the bottom and you'll most likely see that it is marked HDPE.
