Garnet, You definitely don't need a prescription to get a nebulizer. I just got a Vicks ultrasonic nebulizer at CVS drugstore for $50.00. A few days later I saw the ad in the paper for the comparable Walgreen ultrasonic nebulizer for $29 with a $10 mail in rebate (making it only $20). Oh well, the price of going ahead and buying something... It's a desk top unit and not very portable, but it will be a great addition to my arsenal of sickness fighting weapons. I put about 1/2 gallon of my best CS in it and have been taking a breath of mist 2 or three times a day. It's so convenient. I turn on the power and a second or two later a cool mist of CS is blowing out. I take a deep breath of it and turn it off immediately when I'm done breathing it. I'm getting my lungs slowly accustomed to it so that if I get one of the dreaded winter respiratory infections, I'll be ready. Of course, by doing this, I probably won't be getting any respiratory infections...

I am thinking of trying it on my family, all three of us have mild asthma. Got to find a nebulizer first, which I suppose means I have to go to the doctor to get a Rx. Does anyone know if I can buy one without an Rx? Garnet -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
