Well we went in to the vet to see about the teeth and most of the incisors
have to be removed because of rot/infection, others as well . After the blood
tests the vet believes our dog has Cushing's disease which is common in older
dogs. It is believed to be caused by a tumor on the adrenal or pituitary
gland. The tumor changes the release of hormones making the dog hungrier,
thirstier, more tired, panting more often, and urinating more often. If the cs
can heal
the tumor then I think we have a shot with the Cushing's. Also after the
teeth are pulled/cleaned and the infection is gone I think he will feel a lot
better. So will I. We are giving him staight 20ppm cs in his bowl as well as
spraying with the atomizer and his breath has gotten better. No purple cs in
bowl
either. Thanks to all for the great advice.
