No, although the ionic will neutralize the acid when it converts to silver chloride, the amount of acid neutralized by this would be only 5 to 10 ppm of the acid, when the acid content is of the stomach is tens of thousands of ppm See above on how killing the bacteria stops heartburn. If the acid it so strong that CS alone will not stop it, then taking a few tums will kill it, the tums neutralizing the acid immediately and the CS soothing the burned areas and killing the bacteria so the body won't just make more acid.
