Hi: I am still new to making my own colloidal silver. I am using an SG6 Auto from Silvergen. I make it in a quart mason jar with Poland Springs steam distilled water. The water tests out at 0.6 on the pwt meter before I start the SG6. The last couple of batches I made, the negative electrode became "fuzzy" with some white substance which I assume was either a silver oxide or some larger "agglomerations" of silver particles. This did not happen the first couple of batches I made. When I remove the electrodes, this stuff falls off the electrode and remains behind floating in the otherwise clear solution and ruining the batch.
Is this something I am doing wrong or is it normal? The first time this happened, the white stuff fell to the bottom of the jar, and I was able to decant the liquid above it, but the last time, it dispersed in the solution and I was forced to throw out the batch.
