Subject: CS>Re:impacted wisdom tooth

I woke up this morning with throbbing pain in lower right jaw where I have a
not-as-yet surfaced wisdom tooth. Acc to X-ray taken 2 months ago, this molar
looked very healthy and dentist did not see reason to take it out. (This was
just before oral surgery to remove 2 molars plus cleaning of cavitations).

It being Boxing Day, in Festive Season, with the dentist not available until 4th
of January , what else can I do to stop this from developing any further. It's
steadily swelling, the pain gradually increasing, even slight pressure of tongue
against it when swallowing liquid becomes rather painful.
Have been having CS, my 3rd glass sipping now, with castor pack on swollen jaw,
none with noticeable improvement as yet. What else can I do before getting
stuck into a bottle of Vodka? Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Hanneke,
Clove oil is good for numbing the mouth. If there is an infection, other oils
can be used. See http://www.nenahsylver.com/default.asp?contentID=738
for an article I recently posted on my website.

Good luck.
