I had the same experience recently.
 Some batches had been sitting around for a few weeks perfectly fine.
 I combined them then topped off the old gin bottle I swig from and poured
the balance into a clean spagetti jar.
 The CS in the gin bottle went purple in ten minutes.  Something on the lip
of the bottle I suppose.
 The CS poured in to the spagetti jar went brown and murky instantly.

If anything can happen, it probably will. H202 probably makes it happen
faster.
 It only takes a trace of 'whatever' to turn a batch.
