Wayne, Yes, I noticed that. But his vague description and probably prejudiced view of "silver" did not deter me from reading further about the qualities of the amino acid glycine as a possible high quality chelate to consider when thinking about mineral supplements.
Please keep in mind that a lot of people don't think much of silver because they simply have not looked into it and are prejudiced against any great claims from using a single supplement like CS. That does not automatically mean that everything else they have to say is worthless. It might be, but it might not be, too. Did you read any further or no? Any comments about the glycine thing? I think most minerals (especially cheapre ones) in the supplements I see use oxides or just vaguely say "amino acid chelate." I don't remember off hand many saying "glycine chelate." Do you know of anything about this particular chelate not being very good? I just started looking into it. -Ken Bagwell ==================================== Evening Ken, At 12:15 PM 2/11/04 -0800, you wrote: Talks about "ionic" vs. "chelated," and the various qualities of chelations available. Why did you not post this block for our amusement? ============= Silver: Questionable as a single-dose antibiotic, the consistent intake of silver accumulates in the blood-forming organs (spleen, liver, and bone marrow) and the skin, lungs, and muscles. Serious pathologies have resulted from silver ingestion: blood disorders, cirrhosis, pulmonary edema, chronic bronchitis, and a permanent skin condition known as argyria, to name a few. Silver is better left in the ancient lakes and in tableware. ============= Usually I stop reading and exit when I find something like this? Did you read further?
