I'm summarizing the EFT procedure, for you. I downloaded the manual from the http://www.emofree.com site. Another similar procedure, AFT, is at http://www.the-tree-of-life.com. It uses mostly the same points but a few different ones, and has a long list of problems and specific points to tap in a certain order for them. You might want to check it out too if interested.
Discovery statement- "The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy systems." Negative emotions come about because you tuned into certain thoughts or circumstances that caused your energy systems to disrupt. When doing EFT you must tune in to the problem so the negative emotions will surface and the procedure can then work on them. A. The Setup- the procedure must address a certain problem which will be the basis of the affirmation. 1. Repeat an affirmation 3x: Even though I have this __________________(anxiety problem, neck stiffness, depression, whatever) I deeply and completely accept myself. (fully love and accept myself) 2. Rub the "Sore spot" or alternatively, tap the "Karate chop" point while saying the affirmation 3x- takes around 8 seconds. *Sore spot- (preferred unless some physical problem is present in the chest) find the notch at the top center of the sternum at the base of the throat, where a man knots a tie. Go down 3" and over 3" toward your arm, and you will find a sore spot where there is usually lymph congestion that will give discomfort if rubbed vigorously. Rubbing it will disperse the congestion, so after a few sessions it will not be sore anymore. You may find a sore spot on the right or left, usually you would rub with the dominant hand. *Karate chop point- Alternate. On the outside edge of the hand, midway between the pinkie finger and top of the wrist, tap with the index finger of the opposite hand. B. The Sequence- Tap end points of major energy meridians in the body (diagram Pg 25 of EFT manual). Tap with index and middle finger usually of the dominant hand, about 7 times while saying Reminder Phrase (below). The end points exist on both sides of the body but only one needs to be tapped. You can tell if you are on target because there may be some soreness at that point. EB- inner edge of EYEBROW above nose SE- bone at outer corner of the SIDE of the EYE UE- bone 1" below pupil UNDER EYE UN- notch in upper lip between nose and lip- UNDER NOSE CH- point midway between lip and CHIN CB- point 1" down and 1" over to side from COLLARBONE notch UA- point on the side 4" below armpit- UNDER ARM TH- point on outside of THUMB even with base of the nail IF- point on thumb side of INDEX FINGER at base of nail MF- point on thumb side of MIDDLE FINGER at base of nail BF- point on thumb side of BABY FINGER at base of nail KC- Karate chop point defined above Tapping proceeds down the body from the top in the order above. C. 9 Gamut procedure- find Gamut point at the point of a triangle where the base is a line drawn between the knuckles of the ring and little fingers, and the point is 1/2" toward the wrist. While tapping continuously on the Gamut point, do the following 9 actions, taking 10 seconds: 1. Eyes closed. 2. Eyes open. 3. Eyes hard down right while holding the head steady. 4. Eyes hard down left while holding the head steady. 5. Roll eyes in a circle as though your nose were the center of a clock and you were trying to see all the numbers. 6. Repeat 5. in opposite direction. 7. Hum 2 seconds of a song (suggest Happy Birthday). 8. Count rapidly from 1 to 5. 9. Hum 2 seconds of a song again. You can mix up the order as long as you do 7, 8, and 9 as a unit- important. D. Repeat the Sequence again- sandwiches the Gamut procedure. REMINDER PHRASE- one or two word summation of the problem- "stiff neck", said with every tap. This may not always be necessary if you can stay focused on the problem and affirmation while tapping. The whole Basic Recipe, above, should only take a minute or 2. I would like to hear your results if you try the procedure. I'm interested in finding out about how well it works, as I am not an expert or someone who has used it for other people like Terry Chamberlin has. I am especially interested in whether it can be used to stop smoking, as this is such a hard thing to do. Nancy -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
