   Three or Four years ago, I got 100 feet for about that same price or less.

    Have to compare the diameter.....   That is very close to AWG 18.

    The wire I got is either  AWG 12 or AWG 14. ( Calipers not handy )

     AWG 18 = .0403      AWG 16  =  .0508   AWG 14 = .0641   AWG 12 = .0808

    I can't believe the prices have changed that much.

    I have purchased 200 feet since I started with CS, about 5 years ago.

    No.... I did not use it all.  Others did.

I can't recall where I got the wire, but is must be the grade that was stated.
