Morning Peter,
>>My oximeter shows my blood percent oxigenation is 98%.
My resting heart rate is 64.
Very Good indeed.
What is your maximum accelerated heart rate?
What about estimated stroke volume, Likely there is not an easy way to
measure that.
Even the best cardiovascular conditioning does not prevent heart
disease. Some of the healthiest and most fit athletes have died of heart
attacks at ages of 48 and 58.
I have a friend, age 65 that has been a runner for many years. He runs
15 to 25 miles per week.
One particular hill, before he gets to the top, produces a chest pain.
Because of this one hill and one pain, he allowed to docs to do
patchwork on his heart. I have another friend, age 75, that because of a
slight heart murmur, accepted a plastic heart valve and now has to take rat
poison the rest of his life.
Many people believe the mainstream and accept their repair jobs in spite
of their good health.
IN the case of the 75 year old, he was told he had this "defect" all his
life. My logic deducts that if he lived 65 to 68 years with
this lifelong defect, played all sports during school, and made it trouble
free for 65 years, he would likely have made it many more years without the
artificial valve.
