I would measure the gold concentration expressed in ppm by atomic emission spectroscopy using an ICP-AES. This is the equipment we use: http://www.colloidalsciencelab.com/Equipment/VarianICP.html I will also measure the particle size distribution using the Malvern HPPS shown here: http://www.colloidalsciencelab.com/Equipment/MalvernHPPS.html I will post the results and size plot on the CSL website in a private directory and provide a link so this group can download the info. I am offering to do this because I am also one who has never been able to: 1. make colloidal gold by electrolysis 2. never seen "colloidal gold" that was clear beyond about 0.5 ppm. Hopefully, it will provide a worthwhile learning experience for all. About 4 ounces of each sample will suffice. A plastic bottle with a screw top would be fine. frank key -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.
