I wasn't going to bother with this, but since people
are bringing up my last post about this, OK here
goes...

We are in the throes of "Yellow Hell" here in the
eastern coastal plain. This is when the pine trees put
out so much pollen it turns our world yellow. We've
had a dry spell since it started, and it's really
thick everywhere.

Most people are not allergic to pine pollen. It's the
unseen maple pollen mixed in with it that drives so
many people crazy. I've whipped my allergies (another
story), but not having allergic reactions doesn't stop
pollen from causing physical pain in the sinuses, if
the weather is too dry.

By yesterday, it had been so dry, and I had so much
pollen up my nose with so little drainage, that I
began having some of the strangest headaches I'd ever
had, It was like a sprite was up in my head trying to
get out with an ice pick. I had intense stabbing pains
under and around my right eye.

I figured out what was going on, but took a little
longer to figure out what to do about it. I sprayed
copious amounts of CS & Xylitol, breathing deeply, and
it triggered enough drainage and washing action to
allow me to sleep.

Thank goodness it rained last night. Much better
today.
