It may make safe effective CS, but the CO2 will change the pH of the sol,
which can have very significant effects on its behavior.  The added oxygen
may also effect the chemistry of the mix.  I do not know the details of how
all that works, but for consistency, I prefer, for those process that need
stirring, mechanical stirring.

that one person recommended running an aquarium air pump to stir the water
