Goof off is a solvent for removing adhesives , paint drips and such. Starter fluid, carburator cleaner or gasoline will work too...any petro volatile. I use a touch of gas on paper wasp and hornet nests when I really need to work in that area [otherwise, I leave em bee] Puts em right to sleep even if they fall out. If I got stung and the spot is right, I might add a match now and then.
Squirt it into a wood bee hle and the wood soaks it up releasing vapors for quite some time. If the bee is in there, he's drunken toast in a minute or two...too asleep to get out. A little squirt of liquid butane will instantly freeze just about any insect right out of the air. A drop of detergent in standing water will drown any insect that lands on it and help a puddle soak into the ground.
