Hi Paul,

You're absolutely correct.  The only criteria is that the water be
demineralized.  Distillation or deionization both do the job.  When using
deionized water it is harder to get the process of getting the silver to
start releasing atoms because of the low water conductivity.  As far as I'm
concerned the end product is superior.

In our area Safeway stores carry both deionized and distilled water.  The
deionized always has a lower uS reading.
