Morning Deborah,
>> With a spider bite located on my neck, close to what functioning brain
cells I have left, I am distinctly not crazy about the idea of zapping
myself with 25,000 volts.
You face some hard decisions. Even though I am a strong minded
person, at times, the thought went through my mind, "What if I am
wrong". So...... I refused to think about that or dwell on the
possibility that I made a wrong decision.
Has anyone seen any information about the
MINIMUM voltage necessary to destroy venom?
The site of Dr. Stan Abrams, has lots of information. Dr. Carl
Osborne was the pioneer doctor who used the shock treatment for snakes and
spider bites.
Here are some other links
Oklahoma Medical Association, by Journal Volume and Date, listed below.
The Third item, "Multiple High Voltage shocks" is the treatment I used but
a few days late. It was day 20 after the bite when I was shocked 5 times by
a trusting friend. This is something you will remember.

One of the better sites on Spider Bite
Dr. Stan Abrams, Killene, TX, about 500 miles from here.
If my bite had took a turn for the worst, I was planning to drive 500 miles
to see him.
