Hello all
I have a friend who has just undergone a hysterectomy. After her surgery, she developed blood clots in her stomach. The doctor went in through the same incision to solve this. As a result, she has developed a terrible infection in the wound and it is not healing, for which, of course she now is taking CS at my insistence. [Any recommendations for dosage?] A nurse comes 2x a day to pack it. At present, it is still bleeding. She was given four blood transfusions and she greatly wants to avoid more of them. I have given her advice on non-blood expanders and eating Swiss chard and kale to help with clotting. What else can she do to build up her red blood count? Any advice would be helpful. Shes a wonderful mother, a teacher, and is under great stress from several fronts. I would like to all I can to help in a practical way.
