Have faith? > "Our regular Flow-Thru unit produces 360 gallons of high quality > colloidal silver per hour at 30 ppm using well or tap water." > [what?? No way!] I agree. Here's the Faraday calculations: hrs = 1 ppm = 30 sqin = 4 ; wetted area (estimated) gal = 360 Solution: I = 10.15 ; current gm = 40.87 ; silver lost from anode uAin = 2539184 ; current density His generator would have to supply 10 Amps, which is tens of thousands of times more than anyone else uses. With an estimated 4 square inches of wetted area, the current density is 2,539,184 uA/sq.in. This is over 2 thousand times as much as Trem uses, or over four thousand times as much as you use. If the cell somehow managed to stay together, the electrodes would lose 40 gm per hour, which means they wouldn't last long. If the cell resistance was 1k, it would require 10,000 volts across the cell to produce 10 Amps. The power is then 100,000 watts, which means the cell should explode in less than a minute:) I think his figures are bogus:) Best Wishes, Mike Monett -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.
