Greetings my Silver List friends,

I have finally caught up with reading all of your postings after taking
a couple of weeks of vacation with my kids to visit friends in North
Carolina. In my absence, my dear bride kept an eye on things and helped
a few people with subscription issues for me.

I want to say *THANK YOU* to every one of you for keeping things
running so smoothly.

The only wrinkles I detect are 1) a bit more Off Topic drift than I
normally like to see, and 2) a wee bit of conflict over comments and
citations offered by Nina Whit.

I've enjoyed an interesting couple of days reading your fascinating
commentaries on dowsing and related subjects, tips for "safe
computing", and debates over the varied ways people abuse the word
"frequency"... I hope that I can enjoy their continuation as I catch up
on the Off Topic List as well, which has been enjoying a remarkably
steady level of traffic lately. <nudge, nudge, wink, wink!>

As for the other, enough people here are operating under a num-de-list
that even if Nina *were* somebody named Noel, I wouldn't have a problem
with it. A reasonable degree of caution and the occasional raising of
doubt go along well with our mission. We can't afford to be
unquestioning cheerleaders any more than we should tolerate disruptive
negativity and mindless debunking.

I think the debate, to the extent it steered clear of *personal*
attacks, proved to be educational. It is important that every person
here be responsible for their *own* decisions as to what is true or
false, and what information is reliable or not. That is only possible
if we openly discuss the full spectrum of information.

I might also caution you folks that "voting" is often *not* the best
way to determine what's true! <grin>

All that being said, I want to repeat that I'm pleased with the
responsible and constructive behavior that has held sway here in my
absence. It's good to know I can actually escape the asylum from time
to time and you won't burn it down behind me! <smile>

For newcomers, if you're not hearing about what you're interested in
right now, please ask. If you don't then folks will only continue to
discuss whatever is on *their* minds.

Our primary topic is Colloidal Silver -- and you'll find some of the
best brains in the business here on this list! -- but any reasonable
health related question may be asked and answers given even if they are
not related to CS. I only ask that those items not about CS be handled
briefly, so that basic curiosity is satisfied and primary resources
identified, before the discussion is ended or taken to the OT list or
other forums.

The Off Topic List is available to all list members for those things
that are just *too* interesting to ignore but obviously strain the
limits of the main list. See the links in the footer at the bottom of
every message from the list for more info...

Thanks, again, everyone. It's good to be back.

Be well,

Mike Devour
