CS>Mold on indoor plants

I noticed a comment about mold in the soil of houseplants.  I had an aloe vera 
plant outdoors all last summer, and when I brought it in for the winter, it had 
some odd mold growth covering the soil about an inch thick !  Thought I'd take 
a chance, and I watered it with CS - and the mold was gone in a day.  This 
plant is still healthy a year later.
