They could have been caught in one of the NetNazi street sweeps - where they simply attack a whole IP address because a single account was spoofed on that Server and used for POSSIBLE spam. Organisations like SpamCop don't muck around - they go get anyone who isn't armed and even use terms like "trash" in the "Ghetto" to describe their victims.
Any ISP, Yahoo being one - who subscribes to the NAZI population control plan - brainlessly accepts what these poisonous anti-social thugs "offer" them, will trash all incoming mail from one of the Jewi..... I mean suspected spammers................
I know all about these people I studied them for years - or their fathers - in a modern Science Fiction Horror Classic called The Third Reich.
