Wow,

Thank you ever so much, Mike.

I will never stop the CS with him, even if he ends up on abx which I will
make a herculean effort to avoid. Like I said, he is a senior and it is
quality of life now, although I am going for quantity with everything in me,
I love my little buddy.

I "think" in the beginning, I noticed a lessening of scratching and for the
life of me, I cannot remember the dosages, one day melts into another and it
is really hard to ascertain these things.

I have already replaced 1/3 of his drinking water with my own CS. The CS I
started him out on was a list-mates home generated and I have confidence in
hers. Her bottle was labeled 10-12 ppm and I am using silverpuppy with a
funnel and Ode Coyote :0) says it makes in a quart, around 15-17 ppm if I
remember correctly. AND...I started adding H202 yesterday and Gatorade about
4 days ago. With the same CS dosage.

Wondering if he is undergoing a detox. This is hard as most people have
urged me to make at least half of his water CS and I am now adding in the
H202. Ack I hope I am not making the poor thing suffer in my quest to make
him well. I was urged not to be afraid of larger doses with animals. Putting
my thinking cap on with this one is really hard. Brain fog from my own
illness (CFS) makes it even harder.

But your response encourages me to keep going. Quite frankly, I cannot see
how the CS would not be at least somewhat effective at addressing this thing
if oral antibiotics do.

BTW, Akita's are noble, proud, beautiful dogs. Unusual also. Alpha, the most
cat-like of the dogs, extremely protective and fierce, and unusually loyal.
They hail from Japan where they were originally bred to hunt and take down
wild boar and bear. This is a photo similar to what Lucky looks like except
his muzzle is white from age and he is a Sesame (red) Akita.
