Ron wilson posts a link to a speech in which Bill Moyers, while making a few good and interesting points, has the gumption to whine about the sad state of journalism, criticizing his fellows for acquiescing to pressure from the current administration, as if they weren't all lapdogs enough for the previous one ... and bemoaning the fact that opposing points of view are actually allowed a place in the media! Shocking! Simply Shocking! <shudder> Jean Shuford responds to this politically oriented Off Topic post, thanking Ron profusely, IN CAPITALS, no less! Marlys rightfully urges the others to: "Please keep the political crap off the Silver List..." and in so doing tries to play LIST COP... And finally, John Young excoriates Marlys for play list cop... while doing so himself! <LOL!> Okay, for the newbies, and anybody ELSE who needs reminding, under the heading of "Prohibited Topics," the list rules state: "Politics is forbidden unless it relates directly to CS or important alternative health issues ... Do not discuss political parties, elections, politicians, policy, or philosophy. Do not raise divisive issues -- you know which ones! Do not reply to political comments made by others... Nope, not even to be 'fair!' " and... "Criticism of other list members' behavior or how the list is being run must be directed to the list owner, privately and not on the list. No List Cops!"
