Relative to gatorade, I saw this article referenced on another list:

It appears that Gatorade is not all that bad, but do the benefits outweigh the
negatives? Comments?

  Hi Nancy,

  There are a number of good electrolyte powders & liquids available including
Ringer's Solution ( a Medical product) that could be substituted for Gatorade;
however, I purchase the Orange Gatorade on Sale for $1.99 + tax (with a $2.00
coupon off the regular $3.99 price) and I KNOW it does the job--others might or
might not--all of us are experimenting for the answer.

  In looking for a good substitute, make sure the one you pick uses NO
Aspartame or other substitute sugars.

  Let me know if I can be of help. Best regards,
