Greetings my Silvery friends, and newcomers as well! The list has been a bit quieter than average lately and is starting to pick back up the last couple of days. In the interest of helping the newcomers get acquainted with things, and as a reminder for our regulars...
Now is a good time to remember the rules of what's on vs. off topic and how much OT stuff is too much. Anybody can ask any reasonable health oriented question, and anyone may answer with any information that they feel might be helpful, even if it does not relate directly to Colloidal Silver. I only ask that non-CS discussions be kept brief, sufficient to introduce concepts and satisfy people's basic curiosity, and to point out important resources so they can delve further on their own. After that point, discussion should migrate to the Silver Off Topic List, other forums, or private e-mail. Some small amount of general friendly chatter and off-topic stuff is permissible, especially when things are quiet, for the entirely worthwhile purpose of making the place more welcoming and human. I only ask that you tone it down the more the traffic starts to pick up. Self- regulation is the ideal, here. Lastly, a few things are generally prohibited. They include: Commercial self-promotion and/or competition. A number of vendors participate here as private individuals. Those that have proven able to behave well have a fair degree of freedom. All others must contact me for approveal before posting anything that can be seen as commercial in nature. The creative use of signature lines is okay, unless I tell you otherwise! <grin> Politics is prohibited, except for the occasional one-post heads-up about major issues directly related to alternative health in general, or anything having direct impact on CS and closely related subjects. In general, most such discussions should be carried out on the OT list or elsewhere. Religion, spirituality, and most forms of paranormal esoterica are also prohibited as subject matter. I don't demand everybody completely de- God what they have to say, but that overt evangelism or blatant discussions of things that are likely to offend others simply be avoided. The occasional prayer request or "God Bless" as a greeting or in passing is certainly fine. Tolerance, generosity, and sensitivity are key to a successful mailing list. This community generally handles itself very well. You've helped many people, and saved some lives. I respect that, folks, deeply. Thank you for being here.
