When I was buying DW from Safeway,it was nearly impossible to make clear CS,always yellow/tan colour using rectified AC to 30 VDC.I have a stainless steel distiller now and double distill the water.It is virtually impossible to make the CS go yellow ,even leaving the brew go for 24 hrs.With the bought DW I had to sit right on top of it or it would runaway and go very dark brown.I store it in glass jugs,1 gal. and 1/2 gal. size.I also use DW for all potable use in the home as the tap water is ghastly.For potable use,I bring the PH up to approx 7.4,I put 30 / 40 / 45 drops of Concentrace Minerals in it,depending on whether the gal jug is US[128 oz.] Imperial [160 oz.] or 4 litres[135 oz].I also add 5/6 drops of 35% food grade H2O2 to each gal.If possible the jugs are put in the sun for a few hours. Another thing, I draw off the tap water into open pails and lit sit for approx.24 hours to let Chlorine and other VOCs bleed off. Harold
