Canker sores are Candida, a yeast. You can get immediate pain relief by applying Tincture of Benzoin Compund (not Benzoin Tincture, not the same, Compound has something else in it).
CS kills the yeast that causes them. Mixing with 10% DMSO will improve effect, apply topically or soak a cotton ball and compress.
