try making it in the basement
out of the wa y of windows
thats what i do
the uv here is killer 
i keep it i a translucent bottle
in a dark closet
no problems yet

or does it turn yellow in the brew?

May it is the high amount of ionizing radiation that is causing it to go
yellow. He might try putting it into a lighttight lead box for storage.
