I think these people are going to fail in a big way, once the people
figure out what they are up to. They have already lost in the US
courts on the basis of First Amendment rights to free flow of
information -- see the LEF site. The opposition to these moves is
not powerless. . . .

I am constantly amazed that anyone out in the Cyberbog is not by now
fully aware of CODEX.
But, it's too late now, anyway. A brief summary of the decisions made
this last two months are:
1. Virtually all of the top 500 dietary aids are now classified as
drugs. Only a Medical Franchisee (M.D.) will be allowed to prescribe
such dangerous things as Echinacea, Vitamin E, Spirulina, Lecithin,
Vitamin C.
2. Even Franchisees are complaining that the "allowed" dosages are
silly. They are divided by a factor of 10.
3. Very substantial penalties are already in place for anyone ( MD or
not) who cures the top moneyspinners like Cancer, MS, Sugar-Diabetes.
Canada leads the way with 15-25 years for trafficking in things like
CS. Implementation is late 2005.
4. It will be a catchall situation on providing ANY form of advice
"intended to coerce a person into anything claimed to be health
beneficial" with very harsh penalties.
