It actually seems that this is close to the prize, Mike.
We don't really wear out, ( we of course change our whole skin regularly)
more likely, we get ground down by toxicity and other assaults. Remember
the famous chicken heart experiment?
The more *I* think about it the more the "we are the aliens" hypothesis
seems to fit us! :-)
