Colloidal Silver group,
This is an old article, but not sure if everyone has seen it. I had not
until this evening. It is too bad that the Mayor had to lose his position
as Mayor because he advocated using Colloidal Silver. I am an advocate for
colloidal silver and believe that it does have some medicinal qualities. I
am sold on it!

here's the article

Small-town mayor who touted silver as anthrax cure resigns, calls himself
victim of 'jihad'
HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. (AP) — The mayor of this central Florida town has
resigned two months after proclaiming a silver-laced liquid could cure
anthrax and other ills.
Greg Bittner stepped down Monday night during a Town Council meeting,
saying he was the victim of a holy war.
“We've sort of had a Jihad in this town for about a year now against the
mayor,” Bittner said before walking out of the meeting to applause from
citizens who packed the council chambers.
Bittner refused to comment Tuesday on his resignation.
The town's new mayor said the uproar over Bittner's touting of colloidal
silver — an elixir dismissed as ineffective by doctors and the government —
and the council's subsequent public rejection of the proposed cure-all led
to the resignation.
“He really wouldn't let that go,” Mayor Pro Tem Scott Kearney said.
Bittner first advocated the use of the elixir at a council meeting on Oct.
8, during the anthrax-by-mail scare. He expounded on his beliefs in the
town newsletter and even proposed buying a colloidal silver generator for
the town of 956 residents, located 30 miles northwest of Orlando.
“This is probably one of the greatest medicinal items to ever come along,”
he said.
Other council members used the town's newsletter to rebuke Bittner in
November.
“The town council of Howey-in-the-Hills does not endorse or encourage the
use of colloidal silver,” the statement said. “If you are sick, your doctor
should prescribe the medication best for you.”
Bittner had served on the Town Council for four years, two in the
$200-a-month position of mayor.
Food and Drug Administration and Federal Trade Commission officials
criticized Bittner's promotion of colloidal silver's supposed healing
powers. A ban on marketing it as a remedy for any disease was put in place
two years ago, with a warning that it can it turn human skin permanently
