Mike -- this caught my attention. Secondary infections? Are you saying that the virus infection will reappear? Or that because the immune system is busy dealing with a virus, other types of infections can pop up? I'm asking because my 83-year-old Mom -- who takes a small amount of CS pretty much daily -- can seem to have a virus knocked out, and then a couple days later, she's sick again. This has had me baffled. Secondary infections could be the culprit. Of course -- I can't entirely trust her to take as much CS as I tell her to, or as often. She's very capable of giving me *lip service* and doing exactly as she likes -- which would be what SHE thinks is best, instead of taking my word for it. MA
