It is final. Like having a breast > chopped off - it is final. They do not regrow. I agree with you that "holistic" and "allopathic" medicine are incompatible, certainly in their approaches. However, in certain instances they can co-exist. Certainly a good diet and proper nutrition can help mitigate some of the more severe effects of chemo. I just received an email about someone on chemo who was taking advanced Transfer Factor and as a result had few "side" effects of the chemo. Here is the data: ======email begins====== Recently an enhanced transfer factor preparation was employed as a key component in an extensive immunotherapeutic approach to cancer treatment. In a follow-up study, a group of the patients who had achieved remission using the above portocol were maintained on an enhanced transfer factor supplementation program. After 5 years the recurrence rate was 7.3 percent. A survey of the unsupplemented patients revealed a 5 year recurrence rate of 69.8 percent. Additional anecdotal reports involving the use of transfer factor and enhanced preparations to strengthen and support immune function during cancer treatment have been compiled. UPDATE from the 2/5/2005 report: We have a customer/client/friend who had cancer surgery and is now undergoing chemotherapy. She has had two chemo treatments to date, and they are scheduled every 21 days. She is now using Transfer Factor Advanced Formula, but did not start this until after the first chemo treatment. She has been on TF Advanced now for two weeks. The following describes her blood test results before and now. Here is the chronology, as she gave it to us yesterday evening (2/3/2005): Her normal hemoglobin is 12.4. After the first chemo treatment she got really sick and her hemoglobin dropped to 10.0. Two weeks ago, about 10 days after this first treatment, she began taking two TF Advanced per day, although it had been suggested that she take four per day. She is continuing on the two per day. (She decided to try just the two TF per day until after she got additional blood work following the second chemo treatment - with the results related below, she has decided for now to stay with just the two per day.) A few days ago she had her second chemo treatment. The side effects from the chemo after this second treatment were much less intense, and she felt better much sooner that the first time. Blood work after this second treatment revealed the following - hemoglobin is 11.7. Platelet, red and white cell counts are are normal. Her doctor know she is using the TF, but was surprised at these very favorable results. Needless to say, our friend is very pleased with these results. Our friend has given us permission to share this. I will keep you posted on her progress as she shares with us further. ======email ends====== The above results are dramatic, especially the 7.3 percent recurrence rate for cancer in people taking Transfer Factor versus a recurrence rate of 69.8 in those NOT taking Transfer Factor. If someone is too scared to go the holistic route, at least they can give their body what it needs. Parenthetically, I would really question why someone would want to turn off their ability to think and discriminate and take poison -- despite published data that doing nothing for cancer gives the same odds of survival as taking poison. Serious mental and emotional issues are at stake here, including the need to have an authority figure to listen to and give your power away to. Of course, this is a whole other discussion. Not an ideal situation, giving yourself vital nutrients while pumping harmful chemicals into your system. But every little bit of proper nutrition helps.
