Where it comes to coinage and bullion, they refine to certain standards and above.
To request a "specific" assay, you have to be able to tell which coin or bar is being assayed.
Bullion bars sometimes have serial numbers on them but coins usually don't..and who is going to keep such detailed records of each and every bar out of millions of bars?

I am curious about what reason they give for not publishing the assay.

Sorry for the the delay, but this is the first time I am seeing your request. In answer to your questions, assays are taken on the purity of all gold and silver that is used to produce maple leaf coins. Actually the assays come out higher than the 9999 stated on the coins and each coin is actually slightly heavier than the weight indicated on the coins. This "giveaway" is factored into the cost of production. Unfortunately, we do not publish the actual assay results.
I hope this helps.

THIRD REQUEST.......
I would like to verify the stated "four 9", (9999), (99.99%) purity of the Five Dollar Silver Maple Leaf coins.
Would you please answer these questions about the purity of the silver, and the % of content of other minerals, you use in minting your five dollars Silver Maple Leaf coins.
Are assayer samples taken and tested for purity for each run of minting of the coins?
Are assayer samples & testing done for each year of mintage?
Are any of these reports available to the public?
How can I get a copy of these reports for each of the years these coins have been minted?
Thanks,
Ron
