My Tinnitus reduces somewhat when my blood pressure is lower.
60% & upward to 75% of "what I hear" is Tinnitus sounds. Once is a great
while, while eating, the noise will stop or reduce very much for maybe 10
seconds. It is really shocking and almost breath taking during these reductions.
I will have that shocked look on my face and my wife knows what is happening.
God gives me peace, so I seldom think of my Tinnitus which does impose much
stress. As a Christian I love an appreciate others, including each of you on this
silver -list, so never have a pity party because of health.

I am a WW2 Vet. I served as a WW2 Army Tank Commander/Squad Leader
(at age 18 although very shy and reserved at that time). Most men in the tanks
had a degree of Tinnitus. The 75-mm Howitzer ( on the M8 tracked carriage,
i.e., like the M5 tank (37mm cannon) but had an open turrent, was the hardest
on our ears. My last tank was the M24 with the same short barrel 75MM cannon
as the General Sherman tank. The M24 was much easier on the ears except
when taking hits, as is true with any tank. One certainly never wanted to be
in front of the tank when firing because of the extreme shock wave effect on
the ears. Once was enough for an officer and me when we were scouting

The Army had no ear protection program during WW2.

I am a member of this forum but do not remember if I have a special log-in.

Hydrogen Peroxide is a great ear disinfection product and some say reduces
colds. I would not know about this for have had no colds or flu for 22 years.
When I last saw a doctor over two years ago, I told him that I was too slow to
catch a cold. Best to instill Hydrogen Peroxide with a Q-tip if you have a
perforated ear drum as I do. Otherwise the room will start going "up and down"

I keep putting off trying CS in my ear for a chronic infection. Please excuse the
length of this.
