V,

I agree that diet is one of the major causes of disease... actually anything
that enters our body and that includes air and water. Unfortunately changing
them doesn't always cure the problem... even if it is the underlying cause.
Many times it is necessary to change the internal PH using extraordinary
methods, such as taking supplements like cesium in times of extreme illness
(eg. cancer). Often our immune systems are so weakened that we need to take
something (or use something like static electricity) to either kill the
pathogen or change the environment within so that it can no longer survive.
Exposure to radiation in many forms... from ionizing radioactivity to
microwaves... is also a cause of disease. Even healthy individuals succumb to
their effects over time, thus avoidance of x-rays and restricted use of cell
phones is prudent advice for all. That being said, changing ones diet to a
healthy, organic, high fiber and low fat diet is probably the single greatest
change we can make for enhancing and maintaining our health, no question about
it. If that would happen universally our rates of cancer, heart disease,
diabetes and mental illness would decline rapidly.
