I do have a reaction to niacin, a skin flushing sort of thing, feels very hot and itchy.Extremely unpleasant and can last for a very long time (24 or more hours). It is bad enough itself, but it also sets off my eczema, perhaps the flushing is a histamine reaction itself, or it sets off the histamine reaction of eczema. I have often seen Niacinamide recommended to take instead, as Bill mentions, but it gives me much the same reaction.

Some people, i am told have a skin reaction of some sort.
My sister does and was advised to take Niacinamide instead.
Lorna Vanderheaghe has a site at www.healthyimmunity.com
that I believe you can e-mail questions to or search the site.
A health food store should have information on this also.
