your illusion about that. the body needs an acid base
to absorb calcium, Best to take calcium Citrate for
that effect.”

First off, anytime you take calcium it will go into an
acid environment (stomach acid). Secondly, “the body
needs an acid base to absorb calcium”. Which calcium?
Calcium lactate (an acidic calcium)? Calcium citrate
(a neutral pH calcium)? “Pure” calcium is always
alkaline. Doing something to the calcium is what
changes its pH. (Chelating it to an amino acid to
make, say, calcium pantothenate, or citric acid to
make calcium citrate, or lactic acid to make calcium
lactate – although this form of calcium comes from
cultured milk, what you might call a “natural”
chelation). The process of chelation is an attempt ot
take a difficult-to-assimilate form of calcium (in
this example) such as oyster shell and make it easier
to assimilate by joining it to something the body
regards as easy to absorb (such as amino acids or
citric acid).

Efficient assimilation of calciums is accomplished by
the interaction between both types of calciums
(alkaline and acidic). So our bodies need both types,
more of one or the other, depending on which one we
are deficient in. Neutral pH calciums like citrate and
gluconate are always easy to assimilate, and are
utilized by the body, but the “strong’ or “solid”
calciums (measured by energy potential) of which our
bodies are composed are the alkaline and acidic
calciums. People who have an acidic pH best utilize
and assimilate alkaline calciums, while
overly-alkaline pH folks need acidic calciums.
