The type of salt it though very important as table salt is IMO poison to the
system.

Celtic sea salt does make a good base for electrolytes.

1/4 tsp per quart of water make the water more absorbable to the cells.

The problem with edema is there is too much circulatory water and often the
cells are dehydrated.

Now you can use homeopathic remedies to help get rid of the edema.

Tissue salts (not salty actually but very diluted minerals) I would also
recommend highly.

It helps a little of everything if you take the bio 12 tissue salts
homeopathic remedies (they come grouped together or singly but get the whole
grouping, much better in the long run BIO XII). Start with one pill dry
three times a day and increase to the bottle dosage. After you see some
results then you might try what I do.

I use one pill per sports bottle of water and shake at least 2 times to
start and slowly build up to 30 times (over a 2 or 3 week period) and use as
regular water for the you and the animal and it is a great tonic as it
slowly regulates the bodies minerals. It adjusts if the minerals are too
high or too low. Great stuff.

Calc Fluor, Mag Phos, Calc Phos, Calc Sulph, Ferrum Phos, Kali Mur, Kali
Phos, Kali Sulph, Mag Phos. Natrum Mur
Natrum Phos, Natrum Sulph and Silicea are in the Bio XII Tissue Salts

Good book "Natures 12 Magic Healers" by Lionel Rolfe and Nigey Lennon.
It talks about them mostly singly but can be used in combination to level
the 12 cell salts of the body.
