Folks,

I would appreciate anyone who has experience drinking alkaline water,
produced by a commercial or home-made water ionizer, sharing their results. From what I read on the web, they are constructed something like a CS generator, but have a permeable membrane to keep the acid and alkaline water separated, the electrodes are typically titanium, and they cost a lot - over $500 usually. I suppose if one used silver electrodes, one could have the benefits of EIS as well as high pH water. Might this be the next advance in CS generators?

Does anyone have plans for building one? Has anyone built their own, and if so, what are your results? Terry Chamberlain posted a website that had plans for one, but it was not a flow-through version, and I think there should be simpler designs and construction methods.

Thanks,

I have a Jupiter water ionizer and several of us used it for several months. Symptoms after a few months included dry and peeling skin, aggravation of psoriasis/eczema-like skin areas, drying and cracking of mucus membranes and rectal bleeding, general digestive upset.

I did not think that it improved the taste of water, rather you could taste and feel that it was alkaline and not neutral. After a time we could not tolerate it even on the lowest settings.

It did have a nice water filter with silver in it which we still use...
