..just goes to show ya that you can get a patent on ANYTHING.
But that doesn't mean it's worth anything but ammo for a fight...even a
hopeless fight.

Search the patent office with any keyword and you'll get a thousand hits
sometimes.

United States Patent 6,197,814
Arata March 6, 2001
Disinfectant and method of making
Inventors: Arata; Andrew B. (Lake City, FL)
Assignee: NVID International, Inc. (Clearwater, FL)
Appl. No.: 169229
Filed: October 9, 1998

Abstract

A non-toxic environmentally friendly aqueous disinfectant is disclosed for
specific use as prevention against contamination by potentially pathogenic
bacteria and virus. The aqueous disinfectant is formulated by
electrolytically generating silver ions in water in combination with a
citric acid. The aqueous disinfectant may include a suitable alcohol and/or
a detergent. The aqueous disinfectant has been shown to be very effective
at eliminating standard indicator organisms such as staphylococcus aureus,
samonella cholerasuis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

NVID International, Inc.

On April 7, 1997, the SEC obtained temporary restraining orders and asset
freezes against NVID International, Inc., Robert Bunte, and Matthew
Klenovic, and obtained asset freezes against two related parties. The SEC
alleged that the defendants fraudulently raised millions of dollars from
investors purportedly for business purposes, but actually used a
substantial portion of the funds for personal purposes, including purchases
of three homes. The SEC subsequently obtained Final Judgments and
Disgorgement Orders against the NVID defendants. For more information about
the SEC's action, you can read Litigation Release Nos. 15317 (Apr. 7, 1997)
and 15330 (Apr. 15, 1997).

..now to patent the wheel...for flattening small animals. [An essential
step in the process of making road kill frizbees]
Then patent the sun for drying them and asphalt as a solar heat collector.
Then phrase everything so as to exclude the use of wheels, the sun and
roads for anything else...in the 'spirit' of the invention.
