Hello, Jonathan, Thanks for the link to the essay on David Bohm. An important experimental effect he co-discovered was the Aharonov-Bohm effect, which showed the need to extend the fields of electromagnetism beyond those given in the Heaviside formulation of Maxwell's equations. The implications are still being worked out.
