"The Holographic Universe" Michael Talbot Is an easy read and a pretty good overview on the subject. I might add that the mind is not in the brain but vise versa. ..and 'awareness', if not consciousness itself, is fractal in nature. The apparent divisions in fractal awareness might be named 'contexts'. In the context of physical objectivity, both the object and observer of the object 'appear' to be solid and occupy space and time. All three are artifacts of a space/time context of observation, none of which prove that space/time..or anything in it...exists at all like it appears to, where it appears to...or there even really IS a "where" for a 'when' to define.
So long as I define my hand as a solid, I can't put it through a likewise defined solid object. But if I define both as nonlocal, there are no limits. But with no limits, there are no definitions possible. Reality itself is created by placing perceptual limits on the nonlocal infinite. The function of the senses is to NOT sense, in order to 'make' sense...a system of perceptual denial. Vision, for instance, relies on focus. Focus depends entirely on 'Not' seeing everything 'but'. In other words, the more blind you are to all else, the better you can see 'this' and "This" is 'seen as' well defined. Everything is everywhere, all the time...nonlocal. We place a definition of location upon it that agree with our definitions of ourselves...actually 'creating' a place and time for ourselves to be and do and experience things in. Then we define ourselves as our definition and gaurd against any other contextual intrusions that would prove otherwise. Even our own definitions of self change all the time, but usually must do so behind our backs..beneath our awareness so it won't threaten our very definition of existance 'as' ourselves. Mixing contexts of perception can be done, but at the risk of losing perspective on reality and self identity...and going disfunctionally sane. There are some people who have a condition called Dysphasia where they hear colors and see sounds and so on. Their perceptions are just as real and useful to them as our 'normal' ones are to us. [But the 'real' question is, useful to do what?] You could say that a psychic has a window in her movie screen...and the rest of us think we are looking out of a window, but our heads are stuck so far into it that we can't see the window frame that defines it. Such is life as we mis-define it, who, what and where we are... and the drama of self mis-perception that results from applying so much effort in maintaining and defending that which isn't entirely true. ..a comedy of terrors. WE put the "I" in our own version of realty. Fearfully Fun, huh! ;-) Ode At 11:45 AM 7/20/2005 +0900, you wrote: > >Some members may enjoy this; it was educational to me. > >http://www.essays.cc/free_essays/e4/dkt106.shtml > > >-- >The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. > >Instructions for unsubscribing are posted at: http://silverlist.org > >To post, address your message to: [email protected] >Silver List archive: http://escribe.com/health/thesilverlist/index.html > >Address Off-Topic messages to: [email protected] >OT Archive: http://escribe.com/health/silverofftopiclist/index.html > >List maintainer: Mike Devour <[email protected]> > > > >-- >No virus found in this incoming message. >Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. >Version: 7.0.323 / Virus Database: 267.9.2/53 - Release Date: 7/20/2005 > > > > >-- >No virus found in this incoming message. >Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. >Version: 7.0.323 / Virus Database: 267.9.2 - Release Date: 7/20/2005 > > -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
