      I have seen Viadent recently on the shelves of some local pharmicies in 
So. Cal.  It is hard to come by... the only ingredient that prevents me from 
buying it is the fluoride... I won't put that in my mouth.  Too bad... the 
bloodroot and zinc chloride will probably kill just about any pathogen you can 
think of.

  Yes, it is very interesting that Viadent and escharotic salves
  share the chief active ingredients. I didn't think they
  targeted the same pathogens, or did they? I used Viadent
  in the early '90s to get rid of gum inflammation, before I
  learned about CS. My dentist was astonished about how
  fast and thoroughly Viadent worked, and consequently
  recommended it to his other patients. Does anyone know
  if and why it disappeared? (Ahh...lemme guess..)
