I need to remind everyone that there is a limit on the size of messages to the silver list of 18 kilobytes.
James, Nenah, Linda, and a couple of others have all just sent messages that range from 20 something to 50 some kilobytes, that will not post. The number one culprit for too-big messages is if your e-mail program is sending fancy formatted text with all sorts of HTML codes in it. If you turn that stuff off and send plain text only, it will cut the message size by two-thirds or more. The next thing to do is cut out all quoted text that you can, leaving only enough of the previous messages in the thread to provide context for your contribution. If you're trying to post long articles, you'll need to either break them up into parts, or post an excerpt and a link to a web page where they can be found in their entirety. If you send a message and it doesn't reflect back to you within a half hour or so, go back and check to see if it was too big!! Be well, Mike D.
